Break A Leg

This is the story of a screenwriter with a gun to his head, remembering the path that led him through a strange satiric Hollywood to an untimely end. Borrowing Arrested Development’s post-modern style for a comedy-noir take on behind-the-scenes Hollywood, Break A Leg’s incredibly funny writing and acting almost makes up for its varying sound quality. Starting up a project like this is always a bit of a risk, and the biggest gamble writer/director/star Yuri Baranovsky’s taken? Episodes shot in HD that run between 20 and 30 minutes each, which is somewhat daunting for the short attention span of web audiences — but depending on the evolution of long-form content, may ultimately prove prescient.
